Halogen vs hid vs led headlights
The types of lamps currently used for modification on the market mainly include halogen headlights, xenon headlights and LED headlights. So which lamp will be better? In fact, this one-sided answer is impossible, because according to the characteristics of each lamp, our choice will be different.
A. Halogen headlights
1. Principle: The halogen gas injected into the bulb undergoes chemical reaction with the tungsten and halogen sublimated at high temperature. After cooling, the tungsten reattaches to the tungsten wire and repeats the cycle to generate light. 2. Features: The color temperature is 3200K, the light source is relatively yellow, and the irradiation distance is also short. 3. Advantages: The light distribution angle is moderate, and the blind spot of the curve is relatively small. Because of its strong penetrability, most fog lamps use halogen lamps. 4. Disadvantages: short life span, about one thousand hours. The power is high, and the temperature will be very high after being turned on for a long time.
B. Xenon headlights
1. Principle: Use high-voltage current to activate the xenon gas wrapped in the quartz tube, forming a beam of arc light, which can continuously emit light between the two poles. 2. Features: The color temperature is 4000K, the brightness is high, the irradiation distance and range are larger than halogen, and the life span is about 2500 hours. 3. Advantages: Because of the small blind area of ??the curve, it can automatically switch the far and near beams and adjust the light distribution angle, so it will not cause dazzling situations. 4. Disadvantages: Astigmatism is serious, it is not easy to use in foggy weather, and its penetration ability is not strong.
C. LED headlights
1. Principle: use solid semiconductor chips as luminescent materials; 2. Features: color temperature is 6000K, close to natural light, not very dazzling.3. Advantages: lifespan is up to 50,000 hours, can be designed to arrange a variety of different shapes, there will be different lighting effects when turned on at night. 4. Disadvantages: The distribution of light sources in bends is relatively general, so the irradiation distance is not very good.
